ok...my friend made this and wanted to put it on a site...so she let me put it here.Hope you like it :)
You gloomily walked to the end of your driveway. "I hate getting the mail, its so boring. Its not like I’ll ever get anything. But what else is there to do?" You thought pulling your jacket closer as a cold autumn wind blew across your face. You paused at the mailbox and looked into the sky.
"I wish my life was more excitable." You said to yourself. Then you turn your attention back to the mailbox and open it up.
"Hey, whats this?" you say taking out an odd looking letter. The letter was covered with addresses scribbled out and in just enough space fit the unmessed up address, though it was written in chicken scratch you could just make it out who it was for.
Rey Calden...blah, blah, rest of the address. Your face lit up as ran towards the house. "OH MY GOD!! Finally I gots me a letter!"
You skidded into the kitchen to find your mom preparing lunch for Jess and Nick, your younger brother and sister. "Guess what!!" you screamed excitedly. Doing a victory dance.
"What, what?" asked Nick.
"I finally got some excitement in my life! Behold!" saying showing everyone the letter.
"Oh wow a letter, how exciting." Said Jess sarcastically, you gave her a death glare.
"Now, now Jessica dont be fresh! Did you get the mail Rey?" your mother asked.
"Oh...yeah...about that..." you say remembering that you only got your letter. Your mom turned and faced you with her hands on her hips, tapping her foot.
"But mom, I got a letter! Seee!" you whine holding it in front of her.
"No buts, now go get the mail like I asked you." Jess sniggered.
"Fine Ill get the other STUPID mail cause mine is not stupid." You said proudly, hugging the odd letter.
"Rey...go get the mail." Then your mom went back to her work.
"Not until I open my letter!" You were so excited that you started to bite it open. "Man this thing must be glued shut!"
"Young lady! Dont do that, act civilized for heavens sake!" Your mom yelled, rushing over at yanking the letter out of your teeth.
"Hey! Thats my letter! Give it!" You complain trying to snatch it back.
"Not until you learn how to act like a young lady!" She opened a drawer and took out a pair of scissors. "Rey you need to learn how to control yourself..." she started, as she cut open the top of the letter.
You groaned, you hated when your mom talked about "ladyness"
"See there we are." She said handing you the piece of paper that was inside.
"Thanks mom." You said snatching from her fingers, and scanning the first lines.
Mom shook her head and served Jess and Nick their lunches.
This is what the letter says...
If you are reading this you must be Rey Calden. Im not used to do anything the filthy humans do, so this communication thing might not work out as I planned. I had recently discovered that you lived not far from my base (the word base was crossed out and the word home was next to it) and I was wondering if you would like to visit. I would like to get reacquainted soon, and uh write back to this address.

You couldnt believe it. Zim was here! And you were going to meet him! You took the envelope off the counter and found another piece of paper in it. It was a map with an address written by it.
"Mom, you know that Zim guy I told you about a long time ago?"
"A little bit, why?"
"Well guess what, he was the one who wrote me this fine letter. And he invited me over." You dropped to your knees and grabbed your moms legs. "Please can we go! I’ll be good! Can we go, please Im begging you!" You faked a sob as she shook you off.
"Seriously, act your age Rey!" she dusted herself off and asked, "Well...do you even know where he lives?"

"A-huh" you say nodding your head and handing her the map.
You looked hopefully at her face as she examined the paper. She frowned as she looked up. "Well..." you asked.
"I dont know sweetie, its quite far away."
"What are you talking about it’s not THAT far away. Its only about three hours."
She looked at you sternly and said, "What are we going to do about the kids then huh?"
"Well take them with us." you say trying to convince her.
"I wanna go!" Nick said through a mouthful of sandwich.
"See they want to go."
"I dont!" yelled Jess crossing her arms. You glared at her and had to restrain yourself against pouncing on her.
"Come on mom, please." You say trying to give her puppy eyes.
"What about when me and the kids drop you off, where are we going to go. Im not driving all the way there then back here, only to have to go all the way back and get you right when I get here."
"You could go shopping or something, come on mom, theirs a city next to his neighborhood you know." You say trying to act reasonable.
She thought for a bit then, "Alright you can go."
"Yay mom I love you!" you yell hugging her, then doing yet another victory dance.
"But you must act more lady like!" She said stopping you in a mid-jump.
"Aww, come on mom-" You started but got cut off.
"No manners, no Zim."
"Ok...if you need me Ill be in my room. I have to write back to him." You say as you start to walk up stairs.
"Rey!"
"What Mom."
"Go get the mail!"
