Although CDs are more expensive here, living in Tokyo has the benefit of access to the many unique Japan-only releases. This combined remix of R&B diva Keys' blockbuster 2001 album Songs In A Minor and of a live concert she gave in Seattle last August makes the point. More than simply a Japanese edition with an extra track or two tacked on, the album includes excellent, previously unheard remixes such as a version of "Gangsta Lovin'" with rapper Eve, and a booty-shakin' house take on "Troubles" remixed by J-Jay and Chris Lum. But the real appeal of this album lies in its eight live tracks, which feature Keys on solo piano, firmly in command and with the audience in the palm of her hand. ~metropolis.co.jp
